First Aid

We offer 12 hour courses to develop skills and understanding in order to become a named first aider within a childcare or early years setting. Our courses are delivered in partnership with Tigerlily Training as a blended 12-hour course, 6 hours online and 6 hours face to face at Tigers Training Centre. Both components must be completed and passed to achieve the full paediatric first aid certificate.

This course is suitable for practitioners working in an early years, home environment or school setting to administer first aid to preserve life and prevent further harm.

​

The course covers knowledge, understanding and practical demonstrations of emergency scenarios and first aid procedures including accident and emergency first aid, dealing with and recognising allergic reactions, CPR and preserving life in various situations.

 

Online learning must be completed and passed in advance of the practical face to face training session. Practical first aid skills will be assessed at the face-to-face session. Both components must be completed to achieve the qualification.
